A Peaceful Escape with Boat – From Bali to Gili Trawangan

On the morning of July 6th, Da Ram Kim and Haerin Kang made their way to the Wahana Fast Boat office, ready to cross from Bali’s shores to the island paradise of Gili Trawangan. Traveling on their own to the harbor gave them the freedom to take in the early Balinese morning — the rising sun, the hum of scooters, and the scent of incense drifting from small village temples.

At 9:00 AM, the sleek Wahana Fast Boat departed Padang Bai, cutting across the bright turquoise waters of the Lombok Strait. The waves glistened under the sunlight, and the horizon stretched endlessly ahead. By mid-morning, the island came into view — Gili Trawangan with its white sands, swaying palms, and bicycles rolling along sandy lanes instead of cars.

For two days, the couple would be free to explore coral reefs, relax at seaside cafés, and enjoy sunsets that painted the sky in shades of pink and orange. The island’s tranquil rhythm offered the perfect contrast to Bali’s lively energy.

When they returned on July 8th, a private car would be waiting to take them directly to The Udaya Resorts and Spa in Ubud. Known for its luxurious suites, lush jungle setting, and holistic spa experiences, The Udaya was more than just a hotel — it was a sanctuary where body and mind could truly unwind. A perfect ending to an island journey.
